Or maybe even a talent to increase the aoe.Īghs – I really like the current aghs for its utility, I think the basic dispel is fantastic IF it’s the right game for it, and the damage buff is much needed. Not only that, but purifications aoe is almost double melee attack range while shadow wave is only 35 above… so they need to be on top of the target to do any real damage. Mana/healing(or damage) is going to be worse than its closest comparison, purification, by a mile. It’s a physical damage nuke that requires the enemy to be SURROUNDED, and I mean surrounded… to do any damage, and it heals for a measly 80/100/120/140 physical. This is an interesting spell because its amazing against players who don’t understand what it does and horrible against those who do.
What’s worse, is that it’s not even the best of these effects in the game, in fact it’s almost strictly worse than oracles ult in every way. On the other hand, this is also one of the things that breaks dazzle it’s an amazing tool that is so good that the hero literally just becomes a walking grave after 30 minutes, and it’s incredibly boring. It does almost nothing since keeping a level 2 or 3 teammate alive for an additional 4 seconds won’t be able to turn any kind of fight around that the other spells wouldn’t do better. The exact opposite of poison touch, this is the worst level 1 spell in the game. Being that you’re the only person who can refresh it, you need to be on the front line attacking the target with your low move speed, no items and being the primary target for the other team due to grave. However, its also one of the worst spells in the game late. It’s a monster in the laning phase because of its increasing slow - it’s great. This is close to the best level 1 spell in the game up there with toss, blade fury, and decay. But then… they removed the mini stun(we need to buy it now), so he can’t break tp’s, removed the actual stun, so he cant even cc properly, they removed weave so he can no longer stay in the back, now we cant even have teammates refresh poison touch anymore… so why is this backwards? His kit is still the same, just minor tweaks. He could always stay in the back because he had spells like weave that could be cast from 1200 away, grave, 1200 away, and shadow wave that could bounce to heal for moderate amounts. Back then I liked dazzle, he was a CM type hard support that only did one thing, won the lane early and saved the team late. Now before people tell me I just want necrobook back(I do, if only so that techies gets picked less), this problem started, and continued worsening as far back as 7.07 when they first changed poison touch.
Not this boring grave machine that gets hard countered by a single ability. Both level 25 talents suck, there wouldn’t even be a reason to pick up 100 attack speed on his 15-talent vs 20 strength, let alone 60… I wanna see mid and offlane dazzle come back with some real utility. To fix him, give him split shot back on his shard, but make it prioritize heroes with poison touch on them. *7.31 Edit - None of the issues I addressed in this post have changed, (in fact they're ALL worse now) and I am leaving all of the sections as is, I'm just adding a new section that will address a little of each spell(and items now). TL:DR – Dazzle is in a limbo where he cant use half of his abilities early, and he can’t use half of them late, he needs the farm and levels of a core to make his ultimate worth a damn but has no use for either because he can no longer scale due to his shard changes.
